So I think the kids are accepted into a new school starting in the Fall. It's a public charter school, that has max class size of 20 fro 5th n down and 25 for 6 n up. They are suppose to be very high tech. As in Evans grade textbook are mostly on the computer. I think this would help him immensely. That and the small class sizes. Well will help all the kiddos. Evan will only be there for a year, it only goes to 8th, but I figure it is an important year. The one before high school, and he needs to not be in the school he is in now. Too many kids not enough teachers and honestly a few of the teachers could give a care less. Evan was not going back next year period we decided. So it is either this school or one of those online ones at home. Which why it might be good for him academically as well, I don't think it would be good socially. He is way to shy to home-school. I say I think because I sent the packet off a few weeks ago and sent them a email last night asking what happens now and they responded saying they received my children's packets and that we will be getting a welcome packet in about a month. Which makes me think they are in. Right? Anyway. They are remodeling a old church to be the school. I hope they get it done by fall. The school sounds awesome. Though they said at this time they don't have band... That kinda worries me. But I suppose 1 year off won't hurt. i will make him practice at home I guess. Though I think he wants to move to drums.

Kiara had her 5 year check up today. tb test finger stick and 4 shots. I think my neighbor could hear her screams from the Dr office. Mom did you hear her? I wouldn't be surprised. When the nurse came in to give her the shots. She ran crying and hid under my chair. I got her out and in my lap for the tb test and finger poke. SCREAM SCREAM SCREAM. Then we got her on the table. The nurse pinned her legs on the end of the table and I held her arms n torso. Oh lord the screams that child let out. Me and Kenny were giggling it was sooo over the top. Can we say drama queen anyone. Geesh. Anyway she was fine. 31 lbs 36.5 inches perfectly perfect in every way.

Woke up this morning to our light fixture globe in our bathroom being half full of water dripping on the floor. Yep there's a leak up there somewhere. Just what we needed! Luckily it is a really slow leak. Bucket has been under it over an hour and the bottom is still not even covered yet.Kenny pulled the fixture down so it can drain easier. Don't want it building up in the attic to ruin the ceilings, which by the way seem ok. Not wet or soft or stained or anything. Hopefully it only went into the fixture.

so I noticed this am the mole on the back of J's neck has a ring of depigmented skin around it. Also known as halo nevus which means his body is attacking it for some reason. Which is scary. When he gets home today I will take a gander at all his other moles and see if I notice any changes. I have a call in to the medi-cal place to see if they have approved us yet. Can't take J in without ins. Which has me delaying calling his ped for fear he will want to see him. Will also see if they haven't done it yet if we will be back covered if it is approved.

Work is going great. I start my first reg shift tomorrow morning. Our new business hours start today. I will get new shift duties tomorrow. I will need to get all the cages/kennels clean and the animals fed/watered and walked before they open for the day. Then when they open I will just do a run through every hour to check the animals and will spend the rest of the time learning new stuff. Vaccinations, iv's, all the fun tech stuff. Can't wait.

I am 99% sure I have a job.... IN A VETERINARY HOSPITAL!!!!! They could not take me as a volunteer due to ins. SO they offered me a job! Then when it is practicum time I will be covered by their ins. She had me fill out everything. I9, W4, direct deposit, background check, measured me for scrubs! SCRUBS!!!!!!!!!!! let me say again SCRUBS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i hope you know I will be posting a pic of me in scrubs when I finally get to wear em. hehehe the things that excite me. Anyway the only things that could stop the process is my background check... nothing there. and if corporate decides she does not need more help. but since they have her expanding the office. they hired 2 new Dr.s and are staying open later, they need new people to start at the bottom to move those at the bottom up the rung to fill the new hours. So i should be in. Fingers crossed. i guess I know now why the last place shut me down. they were not what God had planned for me. Now I get to be paid for what I was eager to do for free. God is great. I know He has a plan for me I just need to follow His path. Thank You Thank You Thank You. I walked out of my interview yesterday thanking Him and the whole time driving to BK then home and half the night. I am so excited. She put my start date as the 22nd. hopefully everything's back by then. hehehehehehehe

Also a fellow student down in sac is giving me her old 20G tank... How sweet is that! also there is a fellow student down in Sac!I get to meet someone who goes to the same school as me! She has kids too. We are going to meet on Sat for pizza. How fun!

I think my poor picked on guppy is getting ich on her damaged parts. Wonder if the fiddlers can handle ich meds. Sigh.

Anyone know why a 7 year old would suddenly start leaking urine? All day. Even in school. Without even really noticing. But staying dry at night. Spoke to ped on phone. Has me giving him laxatives to clean him out. Says it is usually associated with constipation. The backed up bowels squash the bladder. But he said if it continues past getting cleaned out he wants to see him Monday. Which is not going to happen. Must have ins first. Been looking up causes of it and could be anything from constipation, small bladder to brain tumors. The internet is oh so helpful. Spoke to his teacher today to let her know what was going on and to let him go anytime he might need to. She was better then ok with it as her daughter had the same issues as a little one. He got to go anytime he wanted and managed to stay dry during school. Yeah. Fingers crossed that going number 2 is all he needs. (when he goes) I sure hope medi-cal gets approved and started fast.

I made puff pastry from scratch.

this was the scraps. I used most of it for empanada crust. The scraps I sprinkled with cin sugar n baked. YUMMY. Would of puffed more but I pinched the edges when i cut it. (dull knife)

Well. Leila had her birthday yesterday! She is 2 now!

Which means she loses

that.. except at bedtime and in the car.
She will not be thrilled.

Cay is home sick today. He woke up vomiting and with the runs. Poor guy.
Jarod is going to be getting tested in a bunch of stuff by the school psychologist, spec ed department, nurse, and speech peoples. Finally. Then we have another meeting to go over the results. A LONG meeting. He is such a sweetie, yes even when he is melting down lol. Now he can get the help he needs for school. SOOO Happy about that.
Evan is Evan. Mr Cool. HE is actually being social with people now. Which is great.
Kiara is getting excited for her birthday. Even though it isn't until April. She will be 5. I can't believe she starts school this fall. She is still in Ballet and loves it.

The next recital is in June. her class is doing a China doll dance. i can not wait to see the costume they choose! i can totally see Kiara as a china doll.

He also has a cold and wakes up about 3 am snuffly n fussy every 10 minutes the rest of the night. Yeah shoot me lol. Trying the humidifier tonight in hopes it keeps him from drying out.

Well lets see what have I done. I made puff pastry for the first time ever. From scratch! It was yummy. I am no longer scared of pastry dough. Go Me.

I finished my A&P II class. I received 3 100%'s on my tests. Waiting on my class participation to show. They only update it once a week. Then they ship my next class. Which is Diagnostic Imagery. I am excited about that one. Then after that i have veterinary pharmacology. Should be mind boggling. I guess i can work on the 800 word comp I need to write about what i have learned as a writer. (NOTHING) Sigh.

Jarod has a meeting Monday. Well I have a meeting Monday bright and early (7:30) at the school to FINALLY go over the issues we see and get him tested to get the help he needs for school. YEAH! Hopefully Kenny can come too. I will need to take E to school really early. He will just eat breakfast there that day. And C and J can eat bfast at school while I am in the meeting. I think they serve that early. If not they can be at the meeting with me then eat there. Of course the 3 younger are stuck with me regardless lol.

I recently found out what the theme is for this years recital and what costume her class will be wearing. The theme is around the world. And her class will be doing a china doll dance! HOW cute will that be! Can't wait to see that costume. Though I can wait to pay for it lol.

Evans GF had her birthday Friday. He got her chocolates and flowers. I realized after the fact that means she just turned 13! 13! YIKES! i am not ready for this.

Leila and Kian are both getting over this cold. And I am getting it. Kian is not thrilled about it. He has been quite miserable. And whiny and not sleeping and otherwise driving me batty. They are both growing so much. L is starting to lose that baby look. =( She is looking more like a little girl. sigh

So I turned in another English Comp essay thingy last week. I got my score back today and SHOCKINGLY, as I was expecting a d again, I received a 91! Whoohooo. It was a narrative comp. I didn't even have anyone pre read it for me just sent it off. I would of received a better score except I really didn't believe each person talking should be in a whole new stinking paragraph. I mean It would of had 3 word paragraphs! And most books I read aren't like that. So I got docked for my grammar and mechanics score. I can hope to get that good a score on my next 2 but I don't see it happening as frankly I still don't understand what they even want from me for the next one. And the last one is actually my final and 1/3rd of my grade for that class. Right now I have 3 A's and a D in that class. Hopefully i can get at least a B on the next comp then those grades would be relatively high enough to counteract a D on the final, if worst comes to worst and I get one. I was so excited when I saw that 91 I jumped around and had Evan give me a high 5! I honestly never expected to get that high a grade on any of the comps. I was suppose to write about something that happened in my life (from a diary) HA! Diary. This is as close as i get to a diary. I wrote this essay last year. When Sher was home recovering from her ickiness. So it was basically a narrative about that time. Though I made up a few phone calls and stuff for it lol. Too much worrying back then and not enough conversations. But hey Sher youl be glad to know all your misery got me an A lol. Evil Laugh. Well an A-. a 90 was a B lol. Boy reading it to see the comments and correction brought it all back to me again and i must say Sher i am glad you got better. I would have to hunt you down and kick yer butt if something happened to you. I would miss you dreadfully, and I love you dearly. So stay healthy from now on! Is your appendix out? If not you should just have em pull it now! Save us the worry for later lol.

I just finished making some white choc macadamia nut cookies. Am now whipping out some taquitos for a late lunch/early dinner. Got chips n dips n soda and those cookies I made. Going over to a friends house to spend the evening. I got to use my cookie scoop for the first time. Was sweet! My cookies were the same size! and cooked the same. No done ones next to raw ones. I love kitchen doodads.
The kitchenwares aisle is not a good place for me lol. I want half of it.

I want to tell you all that I hope and pray that your upcoming year is better and brighter then the last. Love much, smile lots, and enjoy every morning.

I hope you alls day is as great as ours. I have a princess bride fairy running around playing with a wooden doll house with her sister who has rhinestone butterfly glued to her cheek and is wearing a pair of undies over her diaper. 2 boys playing a ispy wii game with daddy. and another boy infatuated with his new tech toy. A cell phone. don't fear Santa set up parental controls on it. No overages there. He also got a gift card to go see new moon. He is taking me with him. =) Kian is nursing and I am about to go fix n steam my tamales up. Then i will make artichoke dip and we will be jammin! Got movies galore to watch. Its a fabulous day. Christopher Pop-In-Kins

Santa clause and all of his little elves make their home in a far away land called the North Pole...

That is how the book started that appeared on our kitchen counter this morning. It was the story of a little elf named, you guessed it, Christopher Pop-In-Kins. It told us how he went to Santa and wished to get to see children. After some thinking Santa made him the first ever children's elf.
Sometime after Thanksgiving he gets to go out and watch the children. Though there are some rules. He has to be very careful about where he hides, as the children must be able to find him but they can not touch him. For if they touch him he has to pop back to Santa at the North Pole to have his magic restored. So he must hide high up on shelves and things like that.
He also has to be back by Christmas Eve so he can report to Santa about how the children behaved.
After reading this fabulous story to the kids we wondered if he might of popped in to our house like his book did. And the kids went on a hunt. Sure enough they found him! He was sitting atop the entertainment center! Just like the book said they giggled and laughed and were very excited to see him. After a while they got to playing and suddenly he was gone! They looked everywhere for him and finally found him sitting on the valance above the sliding glass doors. Throughout the day he made it all over. He was on the fridge and even in the alcove above the closet in the entry.
We will be very sad when he pops out tomorrow sometime. But I think we will be very excited if he chooses to come back next year.

I was rather impressed with myself. Jarod Kenny and I enjoyed it. I can't wait till I can afford a pasta maker to roll and slice my dough for me. I will attempt more then and hey it will probably even cook evenly then as it'll be sliced evenly. It tasted good, like pasta lol. So many flavors you can make with pasta. Can't wait to try another.

Homeade Marshmallow creme

Ingredients:

2 cups sifted confections sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 egg whites
2 cups light corn syrup
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

In large bowl, combine egg whites, syrup and salt. Beat for 10 minutes until thick.
At low speed, add confectioners sugar. Add vanilla extract and beat until blended. Makes two quarts.

Kian has jaundice. His bili levels are 15.1. Dr said that's high but wasn't too horribly worried by it. He will get retested Wed morning and we will see what he is at then. In the meantime I am too nurse like crazy and put him in the sun in a diaper for 20 minutes front and back each day.

He was up to 8lbs 6ozs naked so is gaining weight so that's good. Almost back to his birth weight.

In the Dr's office bright lights he was yellow all the way to his tummy! Fingers crossed Wed numbers drop.

I took all these pics with my cell phone. I can't find the cord to my digicam to load pics from there. need to ask Mr E where it is.
As for an update on us. We are doing well. Tired, still adjusting to a new family member to love on, and load in the car lol. He seems to be well. His cord fell off yesterday and his circ looks just about healed up. He is a little yellow but that's normal. I am still pumping on my right side because it hasn't healed all the way yet. And since I started pumping on that side instead of nursing he has stopped spitting up blood, actually he has pretty much stopped spitting up. Bleck his tummy must not of liked any blood. So I have stopped having heart attacks. Always fun to look down at your child and see blood all over has mouth chin hands and clothes. Or wake up with blood on your sheet, baby and self. Can't imagine how he managed to suck that much blood, but he is a very strong sucker. I get no blood when I pump but it does not suck even half as hard as he does. Which is good because then i can feed it to him in a bottle. He is a hungry boy. Both sides a feeding. He was getting really pissed at me for not nursing on both sides lol. Then got over it when I decided there was not any blood in the milk pumped so he could have it. He doesn't go back to Dr's till the uhm 30th. No idea if he has started gaining back again. And yes i did talk to a Dr repeatedly about the blood. cause it wasn't just streaks was all blood and gross. He said to not nurse on that side and see if that stops it to rule that out before subjecting him to a zillion tests. So far so good. Gone 24 hours without blood. I am healing up well. Had the usual issues a few days post and that is all thats left (other then my breast) that is bothering me. Well my back hurts now n then but that is expected from the weird positions I end up in nursing. The kids all adore Kian. And Leila is adjusting well. She isn't quite so interested in him unless one of her siblings are. And isn't trying to sit on him so often. She is starting to crash back out again at night without the screaming. ( knock on wood)
I took my first foray into public alone today. Wen't to walmart with the girls and baby. And survived! Course i had both girls IN the cart lol. No runaways on me. Been there done that. NEVER AGAIN! Thats all. My body is sore from sitting here. Think we will make rice crispy treats after I take a rest.

Having him try to ignore it has helped a lot. He is almost his normal self. At least until next time. The school psychologist just called me. And she never received my referral letter requesting testing which isn't a big deal since I gave it to the principle who prob sent it to the head lady for all the schools who prob has 5000 on her desk and is still going through them. She is going to talk to Jarod's speech therapist and his teachers and go through his records and hunt down the letter I sent in. And then give me a call back when she has an idea of what's next. Since she hadn't seen the letter I told her what the Dr thinks he has the audio visual processing dysfunction and about his fears. She seems really nice and she knows Jarod by sight since her office is in the same area as speech. So fingers crossed we get this done and my little man can get all the help he needs to excel.

I purchased a toilet seat insert for Leila. She had to try it out when we got home. And she actually went tinkle! She had this look of complete horror on her face like what the heck is that mommy when she went. Was stinking hysterical. But me n K did the whoohoo potty dance for her and she was excited and clapping and saying yeah. I am sure it was a complete fluke and I am in no way going to push it especially with a newborn on the way in a week or so. But if she wants on I am not going to stop her. Way to go baby girl!

Kiara's recital was fabulous. We were all impressed by how hard all the kids worked and how great they did. Kiara was of course beautiful.
Jarod wants to take hip hop classes. Caylum is crazy. Evan has decided to join the after school prog at his school. And Leila is gettin big! I am now 38 weeks and 4 days pregnant. Saw an ob today (not mine) for my checkup. Everything looks fine. I gained yet more weight. I am measuring fine. I am dilated to a 1 and she could feel babies head. He is really low. She felt his head without having to push on my uterus at all. She didn't touch my tummy at all. So he is low. I did crack up hard core (in my head) when she told me she doesn't think I will make it to my due date. Seriously I don't go into labor early without medical intervention. So I am not to worried about that coming to pass. I see my reg ob next Thursday. Kenny has class tonight. I am completely wiped out. I spent forever at the Dr's. Had to leave n come back after n hour and a half wait the first time. Ob had to go catch a baby. I had to go get boys from a min day. Then shoveled some food in me n the girls mouths n went back to Dr. i am still shaky weak feeling from not eating lunch till late and running round non stop while hungry. Wiped. I need to go lay down.But ha fam room a disaster.. How 2 teeny tiny girls can make such a massive mess is beyond me. And little Keilan will not stop moving and it freaking hurts. He has hard pointy parts that feel like they are ripping me open. I hope he doesn't get much bigger!

Is not something I recommend you allow in your home. EVER! The package says its not messy and doesn't stain. They lie. If it wasn't for the plastic I put down on the table it would of taken sandpaper to get it off. The little dabs that missed the plastic still aren't scrubbing off. And I don't think Leila's clothes will ever be the same again. I will be picking clumps of dried glittery colored snot off them for days.

Again took these AFTER I wiped the kids down and started cleaning the table. I then threw away all glitter lava the plastic and boxes. Glitterlava.com.. bull poop. They lie. It is not stretchy. Put the kids in the backyard on the lawn in nothing but underwear with hair back in ponytails. You'll regret it otherwise.

Got the kids up today for their second day of school. J isn't going as he is sick. Came home early yesterday throwing up and has a slight fever today and is hanging out near the toilet. Got them all up and through the bickering whiny fighting stage of the morning.
Got out to the rental mini van. got the kids in walked around the back to go put L in the other side. and noticed what I thought was my black bark on the ground around the back of the car. huh I think wonder how that got way down here. as I walk through it I notice its shiny in spots. No biggie sprinklers just shut off. Then I think wait how did it get down here. So I go back around the back of the car to go look at my bark. Thinking some putz kid was stealing stuff from my yard again. When I realize it's glass. Why is there glass in my driveway? I am looking at the street thinking was their an accident out here last night. Look at he back of the van it looks OK. Look back at the street. Then do a double look at the van, and notice the rear window is completely shattered. 99% still in the window which is why I didn't notice. I must of just stared at it for a couple minutes in shock. Nothing like this has ever happened here. I am thinking more then likely it was a rock thrown up by a passing car since it was just shattered and not broken in. Car seats still there doors still locked. I said crap. then got the kids out of the car and promptly started bawling. And bawling and bawling some more. Got everyone back in the house and called Kenny bawling. I am sad I know lol. It's just everything. It's been a messed up freaking week. Evans stuck until my car is ready and I can somehow get him there. The school wants him in. Apparently vandalism is not an acceptable absence. So I have to take him in as soon as I have a vehicle. My car is suppose to be done around 10. The rental place can't send anyone here till 9:30. One thing after another in the life n times of me. Oh yeah and my Cell phone sounds all died. no ringing no alerts no any sounds at all. I have to send it in for warranty repair too. 3's right? So I am good for a while yes?

I failed my 1 hour glucose test. My numbers were "pretty high" according to the nurse that called. It was apparently bad enough that I had no say in the 3 hour at all. They put me on hold and called the lab and set up a appointment for the 3 hour and then told me when to be there. No choices for me. I have to be there at 7am Monday, no eating for 12 hours prior. At least I can drink water until I drink the sugar. Otherwise they would be hating me. Going to be bad enough with the fasting. I am going to pass out. I can see it now. I came close with the 1 hour and that was only 1 blood draw. I will def conk out with 4, after not having anything but water for 12 hours. On the plus side, no wait on the even worse side I will have to have all 5 kids with me, starting at 7 am in a lab for 4 hours. What exactly are they going to do for 4 hours? And what will they do when I conk out? What will L do? They can hardly sit still the 10 minutes we wait in the Dr's waiting room. 4 hours. Lord I should just cancel and let myself be ill the rest of the pregnancy. Whats the worst I will have a big baby? please I have gained less weight this time then ever before. Course I started heavier too. I am still under the highest I have ever been. So, I will be light headed nauseated dizzy weak hot sweaty shaky blurry spotty vision and headachy every time I eat anything sugary. It is only another 3 months. Better then trying to deal with the kids for 4 stinking hours in a boring nothing to do lab waiting room. With them following me in every hour to watch my blood get sucked out and mommy pass out. Kenny won't go in late, he is the only one in the office for who knows how long. The only person in town I know anymore has a newborn and a house that is full of unpacked boxes and so does not need 5 more at 630 in the am. Who in their right mind wants to watch 5 kids at 630 in the morning! Other then me. Nope, think I've decided, I just won't go. I am not going to put the kids and myself through it, there is no one to watch them at all before I am so close to popping it won't matter anyway. Shoot what is less then 12 weeks going to do anyway. There that's settled. Just not going to do it. I feel better now. No more worrying over it.

I see them all over now. Or products like it. I think its a very neat idea. Though I wonder about reading a computer moniter instead of a printed book. My eyes tend to hurt after spending to much time staring at the brightly lit computer monitor. With as much as I read I can't imagine how long it would take me to go blind with a kindle type product. Do any of you have one? Does it hurt your eyes? Do you enjoy reading it as much as a real book?
