Happiness Is

It's the third year of the Happiness Challenge.
Big Orange Michael is sponsoring a month of "What makes you happy", the idea being that each day of the month of August you post something that makes you happy.

August 1.. temps only in the 90's!!

August 2.. being kissed awake by a slobbery baby =)

August 3.. installing a beautiful shower door in the guest bath all by ourselves!

August 4.. getting new carpet in the family room tonight!! yeah!!!!

August 5.. having a leisurly morning going out to breakfast on our way to visit family

August 6.. Seeing family for the first time in 3 years! and practical jokes! was a great visit! now to drag them down here one day =) hey its cooler here then up there!

August 7.. getting my camera back.. YEAH.. prepare for pics sometime today =)

August 8.. a high of 83! opening windows and turning off the ac =)

August 9.. getting to use my brand new vaccum and boy does it SUCK ( in a good way)

August 10. gettin my house straightened up and planning out the fam get together here for tomorrow =) oh and then going shopping lol

August 11. having a house full of family! (wish you could of joined us Sher)

August 12. having nothing to do whoohooo

August 13. spending an entire day with my hubby and kiddos!

August 14. washing my car with my kiddos (such good helpers lol)

August 15. finally gettin the boys scheduled at a dentist in town yeahh no more driving an hour to go to the dentist!

August 16. my first born turning 8! HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVAN I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

August 17. getting Kiara to nap at 1 pm instead of 5 pm maybe she will go to sleep before midnight tonight

August 18. Meeting Evans 3rd grade teacher and him telling me she looks like mamaw (she does) lol

August 19. getting 8 hours of sleep! in one night!

August 20. She fell asleep by 9 pm WOOOOHOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

August 21. Evans first day of 3rd grade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my big boy I LOVE you!

August 22. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KENNY!!!!!! I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

August 23. waking up hearing "tika tika" and feeling itty bitty baby girl fingers tickling me

August 24. Happy Birthday Nick!

August 25. TGIF

August 26. Cleaning up the back yard

August 27. going to a friends house for a bbq and swimming =) the boys cant wait

August 28. finally getting Jarods Speech schedule.. yeahhhh

August 29. losing 2 lbs and just over a inch since I started sparkdiet last thursday

August 30. waking up looking in the mirror and realizing you look better then you did a week ago

August 31. finding out my mean neighbors with the evil dog just put there house on the market yeahhhh

THursday Threesome 8-31-06

::Fluffy Bunny Rabbits::

Onesome: Fluffy-- is as fluffy does! It's almost lemon meringue season at that pie shop. Do you do fluffy pies? ...or is it fruit all the way for you? (Okay, Southerners: go ahead and expound on rhubarb...) Im a fluffy puddin pie kind of gal fruit pies arent my thing (except pumpkin) cheesecakes my ultimate fave though

Twosome: Bunny-- slippers? Yes? No? Barefoot? Shoes? What do you schlep around the house in when it's cold outside? I tend to wear slippersocks when its cold though I prefer to be barefoot lol

Threesome: Rabbits-- Have you ever had little furry pets? What varieties? Are there any in your future? what furry pets havnt I had is more the question to ask lol.. the only furry thing in my future is eventualy ( like in a year or so) a puppy

All in Gods time...

I just wanted to share a little story... sunday the 20th the sermon was about how God does things in His time.. not our time... it really hit home.. My husband has been VERY frustrated at work.. promises made that where never even attempted to be kept.. things suppose to happen that never did.. transfers thatwherespose to happen ( to the point we where packed and ready to go) that always fell through yet other people got what they wanted ya know the feeling im sure... anyway that evening hubby was telling me how it hit home for him how he needs to not stress over it and let the Lord handle it all that it will come when God wants it to.... the next morning at work he was told hed be getting a transfer to his own store (you can hear me laugh about that in the post titled transfers) it seems that it is really going to happen this time too so It was perfect timing .. of course it was perfect it was Gods timing... I just wanted to say its amazing how things work out like that.. so if theres some stresser in your life just remember Gods Time is the RIGHT time and his time is prob way different then yours

If you could have a free subscription to any magazine, which one would you like to have? Im not sure I dont really read magazines My mil gets me a nice cooking fast n easy magazine and i get bh&g and baby talk which is free!

Soup - Describe your living room (furnishings, colors, etc.). my formal living room??? lmao ok thats easy nice plus brand new frieze carpet walls are moderne white and techno gray and the furnishings are TO die for! there are 3 bean bags (2 blue and black 1 blue with moons n stars) uhmm a wood coffee table with 2 pale green lamps on it and that is it lol (all my furnishings are in my fam room lol)

Salad - What does the shape of a circle make you think of? the moon

Main Course - Name 3 things in your life that you consider to be absolute necessities. God My family and food lol

Dessert - What was the last really funny movie you watched?
hmmmm we watched a madea movie and at 1 point my hubby spit water across the room (and on me)

My hubby has used Weight watchers online for years... anyway he hasnt used it in months so I went in and canceled it because well i dont wanna pay 15 bucks a month on something we dont use.. any way 2 weeks later hubby decides to go on a diet ( he and his best friend are having who can lose the fastest contest) so I went online to find a free diet helper for him.. i cam across ALOT but 1 stood out www.sparkpeople.com they are amazing and TOTALLY free we are truly shocked its free you can track anything on it from the basic calories to your nutrient and mineral intakes its amazing and it has ALL kinds of helpful things on it its way cool.. I signed up for my own account today Im going to eat healthier if it kills me ( and it might lol ) anyway I just wanted to share the goodness go check it out its awesome

IHOP

I have been wanting funnel cake for YEARS!!! i love the stuff cant get enough and we just havnt been anywhere that has it in ages so i saw that ihop has them so i found 1 here in town and after church sunday we went on over for me to have a funnel cake! driving on over my mouths watering tummys rumbling brain is anticipating that first funnely cake goodness bite we get there get seated i glance at the menue ( i already knew what my behind was ordering) its now about 1230 they are starting to get a line to be seated (after church rush) waitress comes over i order the boys foods and with a huge grin order myself the funnel cake! whoohooo my brain says funnel cake! as i vaguely hear the waitress say im sorry we are out of funnel cake.. my brain clicks in what ! NO? aaaaaaakkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk this was the ONLY REASON I CAME HERE FUNNEL CAKE! i just look at her for a sec look at my menue look at kenny ook back at my menue can feel the tears burning sniffle tell kenny to go ahead n order i need to look at the menu sniffle i ended up ordering french toast NOT THE SAME! i ate ALL 6 peices and was STILL hungry (very good french toast but still not funnel cake)my tummy and brain wanted FC and it got french toast.. I was SO unsatisfied.. seriously now HOW do you run out of funnel cake its a mix go bye some flour n stuff your in the parking lot with winco.. ESPECIALY when its your big push on all the tv commercials on the windows hanging from the roof and its only 1230 on a SUNDAY you should have a TON of your big item on a sunday its the busy day for a place like that GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I WANT FUNNEL CAKE!

Sigh

sniffle ... on my wedding day a friend of ours gave us a can of S&W canned fruit as a wedding gift it said on it "to many fruitful years together" anyway we never ate it we saved it and keot it alll these years... well the otherday i was organizing my pantry and.............

noticed the can looked funny.. pulled it out and oh man after almost 9 years of marriage and sitting in one house and another it finally BIT THE DUST

it like erupted melted through the can (which was rather bulgy at the ends lol) and lord it was sickly sweet smelling so after surviving almost 9 years it had to be tossed out =( its weird i know but it made me sad its lived through everything wev gone through together in our entire marraige 8 3/4 years 4 kids 4 moves everything!!! so now I write this post to continue the legacy of the can and MAY ALL OUR and YOUR YEARS TOGETHER BE FRUITFUL!

PS we gave our friend a can at his wedding too =) I wonder if they still have it
